Emergency Home Repair Service Plan Provider to Create 120 Jobs in Hamilton County

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today announced HomeServe USA, a leading provider of home repair service programs, will expand its Chattanooga, Tenn. call center operations and create 120 jobs. The Chattanooga facility, located at 1232 Premier Drive, services the Continental U.S. and Canada.

“I appreciate HomeServe USA’s continued commitment to and investment in our state,” Haslam said. “We have placed a renewed emphasis on helping existing industries grow right where they are, as this is essential to reaching our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“It is always a vote of confidence for our state when existing Tennessee businesses decide to expand at home,” Hagerty said. “Our department is continually working to create a business friendly environment that encourages companies to grow and invest in our state.”

HomeServe USA offers affordable emergency repair service plans to cover plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems not typically covered by homeowners insurance or a local utility company. Customers across North America that hold these plans have access to a 24-hour emergency hotline where a customer service representative, potentially one from Chattanooga, assess the situation and then dispatch a local, licensed and qualified contractor from the customer’s community to make any necessary repairs.

“Less than two years ago, we announced we would be opening a Tennessee facility, and thanks to the state of Tennessee, our customers and the Chattanooga community, we are ready to expand our operations and add an additional 120 positions,” Tom Rusin, CEO, HomeServe USA, said. “We are pleased to make this additional investment in Hamilton County and look forward to continual success in Tennessee.”

HomeServe USA is an independent provider of emergency repair service plans. The company was established in the U.S. in 2003 and has grown to protect over 1 million customers across the U.S. against the expense and inconvenience of water, sewer, electrical and other home emergencies. HomeServe dedicates itself to being a customer focused company offering best practices in marketing and service.

“After recruiting HomeServe USA a few years ago, we stayed engaged with them and continued to work with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to support them,” Tom Edd Wilson, president and CEO, Chattanooga Chamber, said. “We give existing industries the kind of attention some communities reserve for only for recruitment prospects. That’s paying off as HomeServe USA and other companies decide where to grow their operations.”
